About the Tutor
I am a professional and qualified guitar teacher and performer with 30 years playing and 15 years teaching experience. I have taught guitar in Further Education Colleges, Primary and Secondary schools and Music Schools. I currently provide private tuition and run guitar courses for groups of adults.

Professional and Qualified Guitar Tutor
Already a qualified further education tutor teaching IT, I qualified as a specialist Instrumental Music Facilitator in 2000. This qualification provided a professional basis to teaching the guitar in schools and privately.
Experienced Teacher all age groups from age 6 to adults.
I have substantial experience teaching children the guitar both in primary and secondary schools and music schools (past 4 years) and on an indivdual basis (past 15 years). With a background in teaching adults, for the past 15 years I have been teaching adults guitar both privately and in group classes.
Acoustic Guitar
I have 30 years experience in acoustic guitar playing. The styles I cover are: folk, blues, ragtime and contemporary acoustic.
Classical Guitar
With 29 years experience in classical guitar I passed Grade 8 in Classical Guitar with distinction in 2002 and during 2002 and 2004 won a number of first places in guitar competitions around the South.
