Tutor

A professional and qualified guitar teacher with 32 years playing and 17 years teaching experience, full-time since 2003. He has taught guitar in Further Education Colleges, Primary and Secondary schools and Music Schools.

 

The tutor has performed in classical ensembles, folk duos, a Portsmouth-based rock band, as well as performing solo at different events and venues around the South. In 2002 he achieved 1st place in the Bach Section and 2nd place in Open Section at the Chichester Music Festival . 

 

With a ten year career in teaching students with physical and learning disabilities prior to becoming a guitar teacher the tutor brings this experience into his guitar teaching offering a flexible approach to students with varying levels of ability and need.

 

He currently teaches in Hampshire  and Kingston Upon Thames offering private tuition to adults and juniors.

Qualifications:

- Classical Guitar Grade 8 (Distinction)
- Instrumental Music Facilitator (level 3)
- Certificate in Further Education
- BA Hons in Ed/HI (2. 1).

- CRB Enhanced certificate current.
